Retail Management
Content
This wide-ranging
introduction to the retail industry gives you an understanding of
management theory and practice and the social context in which the
retail industry operates. You will learn best practice across the
breadth of management roles within the industry. Your study programme
draws upon the resources of the London Institute to examine the
role of design in retailing.
You will be
introduced to the essential concepts of retailing and management
through: concepts of retailing, personal and professional development,
managing information, measurement and money, distribution studies,
managing people, retail operations, retail dynamics, including elements
of retail marketing and human resource management.

Suitability/Prerequisites
For entry to
Year One, you must have completed at least one year of a BA degree,
GPA 3.0 or higher. For entry to Year Two, you must have at least
two years of a BA degree related to business or retailing.
