Student Services

The London Institute Student Services offers professional assistance and guidance for students with practical or personal concerns. The range of support provided by Student Services includes: information, advice and guidance, accommodation advice, disabilities support, an international students
co-ordinator, a professional counselling service, a careers service and a nursery.

As you plan your trip, you may have some questions about coming to live and study in London. You will find answers to all the most frequently asked questions on the London Institute website at www.linst.ac.uk. The International Students FAQ covers immigration, accommodation, healthcare, and even coping with the weather and making friends with Londoners. The Student Services website has ten different areas, including one aimed at our international community.

Orientation

In the fall, each College runs an Orientation program for all students new to the UK. Orientation runs from the Wednesday to the Saturday before classes begin and includes an introduction to life at your College, some workshops, and some social and cultural events where you can meet students from across the
London Institute, organized in conjunction with the London Institute Students Union. The spring Orientation Program will be for Study Abroad students only.

Accommodation

If you are offered a place on a Study Abroad Program you can apply for a place in one of the dorms or apartments managed by the London Institute. We can also help you find a rented apartment or house. The Accommodation area of the Student Services website has links to on-line accommodation lists and
databases. You cannot normally start looking for permanent accommodation until you arrive in London, but for information about booking temporary accommodation, or general advice on private rented accommodation in London, visit the website or
contact the Housing Service direct:
