BA (Honours) Retail
Design Management
This is a unique course which
combines the practice of commercial interior design and the discipline
of retail design management. It will test your creative skills and imagination
and encourage you to develop a personal approach to significant issues
in design, digital technology, and retail design management. Projects continually
evolve to respond to new environments and markets for retail and design,
including finance, leisure, the internet, and e-commerce.
Course Content
This is a three year course.
Study Abroad Students are accepted for year 1 or year 2.
Year 1
You will be introduced to
the main design themes of the course: the traditional skills of drawing
and modeling to explore space; and the digital technology to design and
manage visual information. Core courses introduce the retail business context
within which design is placed: the consumer environment, finance, and the
skills of group dynamics to communicate and present information.
Year 2
Students will study creative
design with core courses of marketing and financial management to enable
you to design commercial environments which relate to changing business
strategies, shaped by technology and consumer choices.

earns 120 London Institute credits.
