BA (Honours) Retail Design Management

This is a unique course which combines the practice of commercial interior design and the  discipline of retail design management. It will test your creative skills and imagination and encourage you to develop a personal approach to significant issues in design, digital technology, and retail design management. Projects continually evolve to respond to new environments and markets for retail and design, including finance, leisure, the internet, and e-commerce.

Course Content
This is a three year course. Study Abroad Students are accepted for year 1 or year 2. 

Year 1
You will be introduced to the main design themes of the course: the traditional skills of drawing and modeling to explore space; and the digital technology to design and manage visual information. Core courses introduce the retail business context within which design is placed: the consumer environment, finance, and the skills of group dynamics to communicate and present information.

Year 2
Students will study creative design with core courses of marketing and financial management to enable you to design commercial environments which relate to changing business  strategies, shaped by technology and consumer choices.

Assessment
Students are assessed by coursework and examinations at the end of each year. Each full  year earns 120 London Institute credits.

Prerequisites
For entry to Year 1, students must have completed at least one year and be in good standing at an accredited university with GPA 3.0 or higher.  For entry to Year 2, students must have completed at least two years and be in good standing at an accredited university with GPA 3.0 or higher.  Students must be enrolled and have done courses in a Retail Design or Retail Management major.
