We will introduce you to the vocabulary of design and communication through creative problem solving and the practical application of the skills that you will learn.

You will work on a series of projects that integrate research and technical skills with your increasing command of language, including a series of technical inductions giving you the opportunity for hands-on experience in the areas of drawing, design, photography, printmaking, electronic media and animation.

English language classes will reflect design and communication work covered, enabling you to develop an understanding of specialised design vocabulary required for Foundation courses.

London itself will form one of the central themes of your course. We place great emphasis on you using the rich and diverse environment that London provides through direct experience. You will visit major galleries, museums and studios, to assist your knowledge of the visual and cultural richness of this cosmopolitan city.

You will be asked to record the sights and sounds that you come across during your journeys across the city using a variety of the following tools:
