Sub-editing

Aims

Sub-editing is the process which lies between the receipt of news or feature copy and production of the printed page. It is more than bringing the copy into a 'house' style and checking for grammatical errors. A sub-editor also has to consider the feature's construction, market tastes, ethics and typographical styles.

Suitability

If you work in an editorial role or as a freelance journalist, or if your work involves the production of printed material and you wish to add to your skills or to pursue a different career path.
