Introduction to Radio Journalism

Aims

You will have an overview of journalism from newsgathering and writing to feature writing, interviewing and sub-editing, specific to working in radio journalism. This is an intensive introduction to all aspects of radio journalism, enabling you to make a useful contribution and have a solid foundation to build on as you become more experienced. Independent and BBC radio journalists will help you examine the differences between print and radio journalism.

Suitability

The course will appeal to you if you are interested in learning about radio journalism and developing the essential technical skills which will enable you to enter into this dynamic industry. No previous journalism skills are required, although some delegates may have worked in a different field of journalism. A good level of the English language and a good spoken voice are essential.
