Aims
You will develop skills and techniques applicable to television news, including producing video location reports and working in the television studio to produce news programmes. You will have time to produce your own live webcast, with up to the minute reports and interviews. By the end of the course you will be familiar with the concepts, practices and processes of current television and on-line media journalism. We will give you as much hands-on experience as possible, and will assist you during the training sessions with essential practical information.
Suitability
If you have always wanted to work in the exciting field of broadcast journalism but do not have the necessary skills or awareness of the area, this course will help you decide on your career. Although no prior experience is necessary we imagine you will have some experience either working in the media or as a journalist in print or radio.
